Sought-after international orchestral and film-recording musicians, Anna, Gabriella and Robert met while playing with major London orchestras and have created The London Chamber Soloists to share their passion for the flute, viola and harp repertoire, often inspiring composers to write new music for their respective instruments and for this unusual combination. Tohi Harada (guitar)
Multi-award winning Japanese guitarist, Tohi Harada, first took up the guitar at the age of three and, during his childhood in Japan, won first place in more than ten junior competitions. He has been studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London since 2021 and is the recipient of many prizes at international competitions, including three times winner of the Julian Bream Trust award and this year the New Elizabethan Award, amongst others.
His programme will feature Mussorgsky’s monumental ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ (arr. for guitar).

L’Isola (vocal ensemble)
Directed by Matthew Gouldstone, L’Isola comprises the finest voices emerging from the University of Cambridge’s pioneering scholarship course on music from the 15th-16th centuries. L’Isola is not a choir but a ‘consort’ of 4-6 soloists reading fluently from original manuscripts. Consort singing, one to a part, is exposed and technically demanding. “The Magician” comprises 16th – early 17th Century Italian and English madrigals. The programme traces the spread of fabulous 16th century Italian music, by Ferrabosco and others, across land and sea to England, to influence English partsong singing of the early 17th Century, including the likes of George Kirbye and Michael Cavendish, and John Wilbye, resident composer employed by the Kitson family at Hengrave Hall, near Bury St Edmunds.

Will Duerden (double bass) & Svitlana Kosenko (piano)
Will Duerden enjoys all aspects of the double bass. Trained at the Yehudi Menuhin School and later at the Royal College of Music, he reached the Strings Final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2018 and has since won numerous prestigious awards, including being selected for the Young Concert Artist Trust, Classic FM ‘Rising Star’ 2024 and London Symphony Orchestra Schemes. He has a passion for everything from baroque music, orchestral, chamber and jazz, has had new work written for him and has performed with several leading orchestras under renowned conductors. Will took up the position of Principal Bass of the Royal Northern Sinfonia in September 2025, and is now based in Newcastle. This programme comprises Romantic and virtuosic accompanied and unaccompanied music, including works by Schumann, Ravel, Faure, Bottessini, Proto and Ponce.

Rupert Egerton-Smith (piano)
A virtuosic concerto and recital soloist only since 2020, Rupert arrived at Carnegie Hall, New York, following an Oxford degree in History, 10yrs as an international business strategist and winning several competitions. Now established and in demand by leading orchestras, it is hardly a conventional rise to being nominated in 2025 by Steinway & Sons as a Steinway Artist. This programme, “Heartlands”, comprises Bach/Busoni, Beethoven (to mark the bi-centenary of Beethoven’s death on 26 Mar 1827), Liszt and Balakirev.
